Impact investing industry leader Amy Bell joins MCE Social Capital (MCE) as its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at a critical time of growth. As MCE scales its portfolio to the $100M mark and beyond through its flagship guarantee model and new MCE Empowering Sustainable Agriculture (MESA) Fund, Bell will spearhead the financial strategy across both vehicles. Her expertise will support the growth of MCE’s portfolio globally as the organization doubles down on impact in climate resilience and gender inclusion.

“MCE builds enduring financial solutions that support livelihoods around the world with a strategy that centers impact alongside a diverse set of financial tools,” says Bell. “I’m thrilled to help scale this impact and join a knowledgeable team so deeply committed to the communities they serve.

I couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Amy Bell to the MCE team,” says MCE CEO Camilla Nestor. “With her deep experience in finance, impact investing, and food and agriculture, Amy brings the strategic financial leadership that will help us shape the next phase of MCE’s growth and impact.

Prior to MCE, Bell served as the CFO of The Cook’s Nook, a purpose-driven start-up developing food as medicine solutions for underserved communities. Amy’s impact investing career has also included roles as senior principal at Whole Foods Market as well as senior director at Tideline, a boutique strategy consulting firm that provides tailored advice to clients developing impact investment strategies, products, and solutions. Previously, she was the head of principal investments for the Sustainable Finance business unit of JPMorgan Chase, where she managed a $100 million portfolio of investments in businesses benefiting low-income and underserved populations. She serves on several boards including WaterEquity (an affiliate of Water.org) and the Sustainable Food Center. She began her career in investment banking with JPMorgan and consulting for Deloitte.
